REPTILES (for Pulsarkat)
Of all the creatures big and small, reptiles fascinate me the most (closely followed by insects). Looking at them, I see millions and millions of years of Mother Nature's work, and I think: darn it. She did a good job.
GINGER (for Enismirdal)
The only food I can tolerate ginger in are Miss C.'s soup, and even then only if used very, very sparsely. I don't like ginger, but somehow everybody has to throw it into every meal - probably even in the dessert. Ginger does look pretty cool, though, so I'm not downright hostile towards it.
Then again, a bit of ginger can't do much harm...
DUCK DOWN DUVETS AND WHAT DUCKS THINK OF THEM (for m_carvaggio)
As I consider the way the down is collected cruelty towards animals, I don't have any duck down duvets. I never discussed the matter with a ducks, but I guess their feelings must be similar to mine if somebody would tear out my hair to fill a pillow with - not overly enthusiastic.
TAXIDERMY (for Azzy)
That's a good one - I can never decide whether I'm fascinated or put off. Oddly enough, "Bodyworld" didn't scare me at all, it was fascinating, and considering that those are human remains, one would expect a bit of a "huh?" moment. But I remember that I've been terribly creeped out by the stuffed animals at the local museum as a child. I still don't like "the last wolf shot in Switzerland" on display, because it reminds me on how many idiots live in this country.
ANIME/MANGA (for Glorfindel)
*cough* I watched "Captain Future" as a child, and that's about all in anime I'll probably ever going to see. While I do appreciate the art in some mangas, they don't hold any fascination for me at all, I'm afraid... I know that a great part of my f-list adores manga and anime, so I'm living under a rock (especially if we consider that I don't care for J-Rock, games, Supernatural and Dr. Who, either... *sigh* ... thanks for putting up with me, folks!)
ERESTOR AS AN UNI PROFESSOR (for Sirielle)
Hm... if he was an UNI professor today, he'd probably teach English literature, and he'd be the quiet, a bit shy type of man all the girls (and some of the guys) would secretly swoon for without ever admitting it. :)
SHRUBBERY (for Sturmbringer)
I'm actually glad that you asked me about Shrubbery. It's a theme that we should all concern ourselves with. Our future depends on shrubbery, and it can't be repeated often enough what importance shrubbery holds for the economy of our country. I'd even go as far as saying: shrubbery is the hot issue of our days. Won't somebody think of the shrubbery?
SHEEP (for Naurring)
I love sheep. Sheep are cool, wooly, fluffy and they have a lot in common with many people I know. I can't eat them. But I'd love to cuddle them. They remind me on those white clouds on beautiful summer days. Also, I don't eat them. :)
