RELIGIOUS GROUPS GET CHUNKS OF AIDS MONEY

"President Bush's $15 billion effort to fight AIDS has handed out nearly one-quarter of its grants to religious groups, and officials are aggressively pursuing new church partners that often emphasize disease prevention through abstinence and fidelity over condom use."

Unreasonable people annoy me. And this proves once again that religious fanatism is the root of all evil, no matter what religion it is. >:-(

What irritates me the most is the whole Gott Mit Uns attitude - where they think hating people is in favor of morality and progress.
How about minding their own business, normally they seem so good at that when it comes to health care and stuff like that.
"moral authority" *sigh*

It all comes down to missionising. I can't see any difference between the current government and its supporters and those European fanatics that headed for Africa to "bring the lord to the heathens" and made sure hundreds of thousands of them died in the process. It's a new, very ugly form of colonialism.

Don't get me started on my very unpopular opinion about Mother Theresa... this is all very scary. How anyone can be as blind as Bush is beyond me. And once again I wonder how so many people thought it was a good thing to vote for him again. I can't see that the USA are a happier and better place than BB (before Bush). A sad thing. :(

That ok my state cut funding for it's low income plan-parenting programs, which means that poor people can't afford birth control, which means they have more children and stay poor, staying on walfare.

For the life of me I can't see the logic behind this government's acts. This has NEVER worked. Why should it now? Because they want it to work? *shakes head* This will end in a big mess, I fear...
