BLOGLINES.com: only feeds if somebody subscribes and requests your lj/website/whatever to be fed.
FEEDSTER.com: feeds automatically. nobody has to ask for a feed. feedster snaps everything their robots find, just like google. any given lj can be found there.
if you don't want to end up on feedster, friends-lock your entries. if you have a website, use an appropriate robot tag, as can be found
here.
I wrote to feedster and demanded my stuff to be taken down, and they did so within the day. you can mail them on feedstercomments at feedster.com
tell them to remove your feed:
"please be so kind and remove the feed of my livejournal:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/yourusername/data/rss/http://www.livejournal.com/users/yourusername thanks!"
simplified: if you are not on bloglines, nobody asked for you. tough on the ego, but such is life.
