for the fanpoodle who has everything and some roman dirge fan-girling

so you got the legolas beauty set, the haldir nose-hair cutter and the elrond tea-pot warmer.

how about something

WITH A LITTLE...

...MORE CLASS AND STYLE?

not to say anything against the elrond tea-pot warmer, of course.

you know, I often joke about the elrond tea-pot warmer. and yet, I would not be surprised in the least if such an item was on sale somewhere. a scary thought. even scarier is, however, that I'd probably buy it.

the prices are in NZD, by the way, not USD.

* * *

I know that one should never say "drawing x of artist y reminds me of drawing y of artist x", but the one above does remind me in a way of roman dirge's illustrations for "monsters in my tummy."

does anybody know romand dirge and his work, by the way? he's the creator of

leonore - a cute little dead girl.

he's also got a lot of tattoos, which has nothing to do with his talent as an artist, but appeals to my tattoo fetish.

"monsters in my tummy" is about one of the best descriptions of heartache ever. if you like "the melancholic death of oyster boy" by tim burton, you might like this one as well.

small poems with illustrations, telling the tale on how your mind react on love lost. some examples:

the dedication.

"Dedicated to a certain girl...
I hope your life is filled with
wonderful accomplishments,
lvoe and all the magic you desire...

- But I hope your death is slow and horrible"

alright. he really was hurt.

Mr. Heart had been
so gleeful and mellow.
Full of hope was he,
a glowing little fellow.
He sat on his throne -
The big boss of the body.
"All is well in my world."
- or so at least thought he.

He Who Is Pain
had been lurking about.
He saw a chance to strike
and so he struck out.
With the death of the heart
there will be a new reign.
"I will be king now!",
thought He Who Is Pain.

There they all were.
Together at last.
With the tummy as their theater
and them as the cast.
Betrayal, Sir Anger and Love In Vein -
Lil' contempt, Alone and He Who Is Pain.
Several more joined in
to enjoy this play.
The performance would begin
as they worked their dismay.

geezez. some contribution to the upcoming valentine's day that was...
