2007 strikes again!
And it does, if you look at it in a certain way... after all, we've already had 2007 BCE, according to the common calendar.
Today's news is upbeat and uplifting: I started in on my spring cleaning!
*ducks an assortment of thrown shoes and bottles*
Okay, so really it's cleaning that I haven't done for the past couple of years. Having received new dishes for Christmas, I decided it was time to go through, rearrange, and throw out crap from my kitchen. Start in on that, and you might as well wipe the shelves down, too, yes? Besides, I've had a lot of condensation on my walls in the past month or so, and it seemed like a good day to swab down the bathroom walls. The perils of being a smoker, and enjoying good food that generates steam. :(
The other news: my old advisor called up with an offer of work! One of her friends at U Calgary is doing a research project, and hasn't been able to get an assistant. If it works out, I'll be reading articles (about the use of technology in music education classrooms), filling in a template, and getting paid by the article to do it! *crosses fingers* To celebrate incipient employment, I splurged on a bottle of rum. :)
I'm actually looking forward to getting back around the school next week, even though it will cut into my sit-in-front-of-the-TV-and-stitch schedule. Remember: 2007 is the year I Go On A Date.
