My life has been eaten by all things involving fabric and thread. First, there's the cross-stiching marathon that's only going to get worse with the Stitcher's Olympics coming up. ((I'm sure some of you will start getting inundated with the results of that, as I certainly can't keep everything.)) Then there's the baby blankets. A couple gals I know are starting up a merchandise line called Rock the Crib of "alternative infant products". Y'know, like black baby blankets with skulls and leopard print. Anyway, they needed people who could sew, and our family got mentioned, so Sister and I are now up to our ears in baby blanket fabric. They're going to be really really cool, but it's also a lot of work and I'm constantly terrified that I'm going to screw them up-because, of course, these are not for personal enrichment, and therefore will constantly make me panic. Anyway.
What else...hung out with Melody on Sunday, which was nice. I haven't gotten to see her much, since she's taking summer classes in preperation for San Jose State in the fall. We caught up on all the family/friends/school talk, did a little bowling, and snarked our way through Dangerous Beauty. Really, I love that movie, but there are some things that you can't help but make fun of, like the fact that every time Marco shows up outside Veronica's window, he interrupts the same guy. Talk about bad timing.
Umm...anybody into dolphins? I'm doing a dolphin cross-stitch pattern right now, but I don't have any reason to keep it myself, and no one in my immediate circles is a dolphin person that I know of.
And now, off to other things, like (finally) revamping my icons.
Oh, and I have my driving test on 12 August. Hopefully I'll pass and have my license in time for school. Yay.
