So, I had my SF State Orientation on Wednesday. Mostly, it was another fantastic reminder of how annoying it is when the same four people ask the same four questions every two minutes, while the rest of your group of twenty-five just want to get their IDs, sign up for their two classes, and go home. But other than that it was really helpful, and even the stuff I already knew was not presented in a way that made me want to kill people. Always a good sign when your schoool assumes that if college transfer students had enough competency to be able to transfer, they can follow directions like college students.
Everyone was freaked out about not being able to talk to an advisor before signing up for the two classes we gat to pick at the end of the day. I didn't really care; my concern was that the school had't recieved my transcripts as of that morning, and today was the deadline or I could get booted. However, I checked this morning and my DARS is right where it should be with the happy dance of "Yay! You took GE classes and got good grades and saved your parents a load of money at community college!"
I signed up for one of the Theater History classes I need, and a Celtic Folklore class. I'll probably end up dropping one of the other when I can register for ALL my classes and have to actually think about schedule, but for now at least I know I have something. I'll have to go in after the semester starts to add my second major and (if I'm really crazy) see if I can also double-minor. If I'm planning it right in my head, I should be able to finagle an awesome set up with two majors and two minors, and get them done in a timely fashion. Yay for psyching out the system.
My lower back is all screwed up, and I should probably lie down, but that's boring, so instead I'm going to work on the cross-stitch of DOOM and rewatch yet another episode of The Tudors. I watched two or three earlier while I tidied my scrapbooking crap and did the latest page in Ace's.
It's kinda messed up watching the episodes with Princess Margaret right after having watched the Burn Notice season premier. I heart Gabrielle Anwar. And I think I need to make room for a Michael/Fi icon.
