"His chainsaw was very convineintly placed."

So, for musical theater duets, Abbey and I will be doing one of the following three:
"Some Things Are Meant to Be" from Little Women,
"Perfect Strangers" from Mystery of Edwin Drood, or
"Settling Up the Score" from the same (but only if we could find sheet music).

It'll be fun, I'm sure. I really hope we manage to schedule practice slots such that I'll be able to get more hours over at LVPAC, but we'll see how it goes. And now, we have meme.

1) List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself
2) Tag seven people to do the same.
3) Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you want to tag whoever wants to do it.

1. I am not at all superstitious, and I break almost all the theater superstition rules on a regular basis (especially Names to Not Say in a Theater). Despite this, I still hold my breath when driving by graveyards. I can't really remember how that started or why; I guess it's just habit now.

2. When I was very young (maybe 5 or 6), my favorite color was pink, but so was my best friend's. Obviously this would not do, so I hatched the grand scheme of trying to convince her that my favorite color was purple, so that she would copy-cat me with that, and I could switch back to having pink. My favorite color has been purple ever since then.

3. I have borderline panic attacks when I have to talk on the phone, especially if it's to someone I don't know. It's not so bad now as it used to be, but that was the one thing that almost kept me from signing on as stage manager for The Diviners.

4. I think the first DVD I bought for myself with my own money was actually Quills. It has also been one of my favorite movies ever since I saw it.

5. I hate the concept of the "child prodigy". I think that everyone should be able to come into their skills and talents at whatever pace is right for them, and it shouldn't matter if the person is three, thirteen, thirty, or three hundred. Everyone has their own pace for every single thing, and I hate the way society seems to be turning the "average" into the "inferior". [/endrant]

6. Long before Johnny Depp made Pirates the "it" thing to be, I wanted to get a black VW Beetle with white Jolly Roger emblems on the sides with an appropriately themed vanity plate (ideas included ARGH, BLCKSPT, AVAST, MUTINY, or BONNY). Unfortunately, that's currently too conformist for my taste. I also don't partucularly want a Beetle anymore. I still think it's a cool idea though.

7. I honestly can't come up with a seventh one. I was going full momentum on this, and now I've been sitting on it for over an hour letting my mind wander. This, is typical of trying to update my LJ though, which is why my entries are frequently "Was going to update, but changed mind. Bye!"

I tag whichever seven people on my flist haven't done one this yet.
