On the Decline of Young People Reading Poetry.

To all the Jews on my flist, Happy Yom Kippur!

To all the Dracula fans on my flist, Happy Blood Exchange Day!

To everyone on my flist, Happy Second Day of October!

To Rufus Sewell, marry me please?

So my day was interesting. I woke up with a headache and got dragged to school early only to find that my Math class was cancelled. So, I got to sit around for two and a half hours until English. Now in English we're doing Poets research papers. I had been trying to decide between Sylvia Plath and Edgar Allan Poe, having already decided that everyone and their third cousin was probably going to do Percy Bysshe Shelly. Well, I finally decided on Plath, and good thing too: one third of the class chose Poe, another third chose Robert Frost, and the rest of us have assorted other poets. No one is doing Shelly, Byron, Keats, either Browning, Seeger, Eliot, not even Dickinson...I am utterly appalled. We do have e.e. cummings and Wilfred Owen, at least, plus my doing Plath. Mrs. Cole is giving us a little time to research a bit before we carve it in stone though, so some people might choose others instead.

And then, genius I am, I totally forgot that I had to submit my TB paper to turnitin.com, so I did that a little while ago and am hoping that my Health teacher won't check that until it's processed. It's not entirely my fault, because my internet was down for a couple days last week...I just don't want to get points off, since I'm already floundering in this class.

Now I'm going to go...do...something...yeah.

my generation is idiots, classes, rambling, poetry
