I'm posting, not because I have anything new or remotely interesting to say, but because I am so bored.

Okay, so I've finished reading The Hobbit and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I've streamed the hell out of Supernatural on Netflix here in bed with the company laptop. Did some reading on adrenal stress and fibromyalgia. I can't knit because my hands are stiff. Now what.
I'm a little annoyed, too, because I just had two days of greatly diminished pain, and fairly agreeable knees. I woke up today with one knee throbbing and the other twinging. Am I back to square one? I have just spent a couple of weeks of carefully engineering my movements to take the stress off the knees and get the swelling to go down. I wonder if I can get back to where I was on Friday in a couple of days ... or a couple of weeks.

Meantime, I'm thinking of seeing another doctor that a friend of mine knows. She's pretty outside the box. Does a lot of work with bioidentical hormones. I'm thinking about having tests done, at least, because these other doctors won't test the same kind of stuff, and who knows where the clues will come from? But my first goal is to get the knees in good enough condition where I can risk going down the stairs outside my apartment. Hence my extra annoyance at them today.

On the sorta-plus side, I'm losing weight. Agreed, it's not the best way to do it. But the benefit is nice. I'm down about 7 pounds in around 3 weeks, which makes almost 15 pounds since the beginning of the year (the other lost weight was from a sensible diet I started in January). And that's gotta help my knees in the long run, too.
