It's *very* cliquish - usually with the leaders friends ending up having item runs dedicated to them, or rule infractions that many of the members are angry about, but because they were commited by a member in the clique, are overlooked (ex - member in glacier lotting on 2 big pieces and winning them both -sch body and dnc pants - when theres generally a "one item per run unless it goes FL" concensus among members - the result was that my friend who lost both items complained about it in tell to the lead and was promptly asked to drop shell while the offender is still in. Leads in-game fling is also very bossy and mouthy and seems to think that its her job to keep everybody worshipping the leads at all times - which they love - they love love looooove it when you get on yer knees and remind them how magnanamous they are for allowing you to come to such events. If you try to make a good natured rib or jab at the leads you'll usually get a /tell to not be so abrasive and rude ect ect. The leads GF-ish thing is pretty much the professor umbridge of the ls... We got sooo close this time" schpeil afterwards. I'm all for keeping morale high and all, but usually the losses are things we *can* avoid and work on - like in einherjar - the black mages nuke, then draw the mob to them and promptly flip the fuck out and run - causing our rather DD heavy group to have to chase after it, losing time. If i make a suggestion about it I'm swiftly told that it is the leads responsibility to talk strategy - then please do it...
Most of the members are honestly great people, and I'll be sad to leave them but there are so many outdated rules and policies and the uppity leads make for a rather unenjoyable endgame environment. When I move servers next week I think it'll be a nice change of pace both casual and endgame wise...
