By now I’m more-or-less back full time. A break did me a lot of good. It really did. Once I came back and started doing events I was hoping to showcase this entry with the triumphant completion of some awesome goal, but eventually I realized it just isn’t going to happen and I’m piling up with a lot of small noteworth things, so this is me biting the bullet and making this entry anyway before the list gets unmanageably long. Even so, it's pretty long. And these things take forever to type and prepare all the pictures and hotlink past entires and stuff. Not that anyones cares, they just want updates. FINE! Take your bi-weekly dose of light reading and be happy!

BLM's at 70 now. I don't have a fancy screenshot or anything. I'm just sticking this in here because I always find myself reading old Ereblogs and wondering how leveling a certain job is going. Future self, I say this; it's going slow as hell. BLM solo camps suck at 69/70 and tnls are huge. Needs more leeching.
I spent a sizable amount of points on a Kirin’s Osode, because at a certain point in every character’s career they get a Kirin’s Osode. It’s for BRD only right now… maybe WAR if I ever level it up. I don’t know. The rumors that I only lotted it to help pay off the Morrigan’s loan are INSUBSTANTIAL AND SLANDEROUS!
I realized I hadn’t done an event in like two years so I looked up how to do the eerie cloak event and was just overwhelmed with how many little minievents there are for this one now. So I spent a couple hours rummaging around completing various little quests and obtaining some nifty stuff. The eerie cloak was an easy one to want since it's the second item they named if after me (let me dream) but I think I like the look of the pitchfork more.
The latent effect on the eerie cloak +1 is activated by nighttime and a level divisible by 13. Obscure and annoying but NOT unobtainable. I was in a past colibri party from 37 to 40 and wore the cloak at level 39. 2/tic MP refresh on BLU is godly fun good times.

Level 39 in that past colibri party in east ronfaure (S). The eerie cloak+1 refresh tick coupled with 39 just being a really good level for this camp gave us a nice chain at this low level. The exp here was just amazingly good. Brimah got 12 levels of DRG in an afternoon.
Mount Z party on Erucas/pugils with me on BLM. There was a lot of 2hour burning to get it up this high. This was the first time I realized just how awesome Manafont is for pulling damage out of nowhere.
And this is essentially why I don’t seek for merits anymore. Did one of our legendary DDx3 RDM DNC (me) BRD parties on mamools / birds at nyzul camp. Please note this isn’t an accurate display of Pyrrhic Kleos’s damage since I used it to kill the mob for this shot. Pyrrhic Kelos is comparable to Evisceration in damage and has that evasion down effect so it’s the superior skill.
God, such a boring use of merit points, but it needed to be done at some point. I’d better get close to fully capping BLU before my BLM gets to 75 since I need to sink a ton into that job too.
I swear, Salvage totters from nearly being cancelled forever to runs happening every day of the week. We’re on one of the high points right now and I’ve finally got a system of doing Red vs Blues to get points. Brimah got his 35 ares body piece and just needs the LBC kill so we’re doing more LBCs which are a much better Bhaflau than just ramparts.
Got the 15 Morrigan hands from Zhayolm, putting me at 2/3 for that, only lacking the 25 boss drop. Only problem is, they like to do a lot of midday Monday LAC runs and that’s the only time during the week I have late classes and can’t be there. At least it didn’t drop while I was gone, though a few people did get what they want. Good for them, yes, but bad for me since it lowers the interest in doing LAC runs. Well, we’ll see. If I get these hands that will put me in a real good spot for my BLM. That’d be nice since I never snagged Zenith and Goliard refuses to drop. Here's to praying I have better luck getting the hands 25 than I did getting the legs! 12 runs, man...
In a plan that smelled STRONGLY of desperation, we took 5 people into Zhayolm the other day to get Shpendi the 15 he needed to complete his Usukane feet because nobody else, even salvage group reguars, were willing to help. I was there on BLU of all things. SE favors people that bring completed salvage bodies into salvage and actually get the body cell to unlock them and, despite going up the wrong teleporter on floor 2, we kicked ass and got him the piece. Will I ever go BLU to salvage ever again? Oh hell no! But it was a heck of a good time while it lasted.
Shards of Alexander RAIN FROM THE HEAVENS. Rumor has it that Shpen’s going to sell all the Alexandrite we’ve collected and split them among people who have upgraded bodies as a subsidy. That’s pretty nifty. I wish he had thought of this plan when I was the only one with a body, but hey, any free money always helps to get the taru mafia off my case.
Heat Breath record in Nyzul! Nyzul the last couple weeks has suffered massive staffing problems. I’ve never had 6 people that want to go. It goes directly from 5 people waiting for someone to log on to me telling someone they can go and that person logging on within seconds, putting us at 7. Graaagrh. Curse you Nyzul and your strict 6-man requirements! This led to uncomfortably telling someone they couldn't go, which hasn't caused drama since everyone in the group has to do what I say anyway is friendly and agreeable, but still, makes me feel bad.
At least I got my first piece ever, one of the few I’ve quite strongly wanted. These are a real great BLU macro piece for everything from physical spells to resistable debuffs and drains. The only other pieces I want now are Denali legs (for various BLU builds), Goliard hands (assuming I don’t get Morrigan’s any time soon), Goliard chapeu (for hMP), and Denali bonnet (for DNC, I guess, maybe?). None of them are super awesome amazing gotta have sorta things, except the hands, since I really need to fill the MAB hands slot on my BLM sooner or later and we all remember how long it can take to get certain drops from bosses.
Speaking of BLU builds, I not only landed Enervation on the Dynamis - Valkrum boss but had it stay on for the entire fight. Successes like this are opening up all sorts of opportunities to land powerful yet easily resisted blue mage spells on strong enemies. MY EVIL PLAN TO MAKE A MAGICAL-BASED BLUE MAGE BUILD IS WORKING!
Alas for Balrahn, the fallen blue mage emperor hero. Of course we didn’t beat him. AXI Einherjar is still mostly fail despite the leader’s attempts to recruit / bribe / cajole / threaten more people into coming. Instead of losing tier 1s we’re losing tier 2s now. That actually counts as progress since 1440 ampules is better than 980! I was hoping strongly to ditch the group entirely and get an actual Einherjar group, but they declined my application while accepting people that have only one of the jobs I do. Probably because someone in the group knows a guy that knows a guy that heard of a guy that didn't like me at some point. That kind of stuff happens to me every now and then. Fame cuts both ways, it seems. So I'm stuck with AXI's group for better and for worse, and really it's for worse right now. Blarg. So no significant progress on Tizona other than nyzul and einherjar tallies going up a bit.
Wiseman came back, because everyone that quits this game comes back after defeating the INFAMOUS DAT 47 FILE. No, this isn't supposed to make any sense to anyone that doesn't know this inside joke. He reclaimed the Peacock charm and Novia he gave me and only gave me a lousy 18 damage on puddings in return. Not exactly a favorable trade! I’d like to take this opportunity to take back everything nice I said about him. At least I have a really bored person willing to go on my insane ventures again.
