another solution to your DD problems is to get a good mnk that doesn't suck dmg wise and can keep shadows up as well. then you can have more DD with an equally strong backline =P, but you might become tankless..... maybe.

Yeah... thats me of the group. I'm Blackbelt MNK, the SAM/WAR, or tank. This is why it is a worry, I am the heaviest DD of the group, but since I started leveling THF, (In a party now close to 70) me going THF still prolly wont be as good as my MNK and SAM DD wise. Don't get me wrong, it will be geared well, but cant see it doing as well. We cant just "get a MNK", we have our group, and its a static, but we all have a ton of jobs, so we will make it work.
yea the "get a mnk" thing was more of a joke if anything. while it helps here and there it isn't worth screwing with your static to make it work. as for the heaviest DD getting thf lvled while thf can DD and I've seen it done well, it won't compare to the DD potential of other jobs, which especially for farming/boss runs can make things harder time wise.
Basically all I would say is to try it out and see if it helps or not. we had someone in my group who always came nin, but now he comes thf more than nin since it worked out for us better that way. also sorry for the long delay in response, work's been a real pain
