My Paladin's First and Last Event
Got another merit on BLU. Only one! The hell! It's not even the BLU job's fault. Getting merits is painfully freaking slow because all the camps are always taken 24/7 now. We need a new expansion just for new spots to level. Though who am I kidding; the old will dry up if the new is better and it'll be the same people crammed in there. I'm now 4/5 merits for physical potency with like 6000/10000 to number five and hope to finish it off this weekend.
AXI Sky farming from the twilight zone today. We split into two teams and were competing for the most Diorite drops in 3 hours. My team, the Haxors, beat the Sexers. The twilight zone aspect was that everyone came as weird jobs. I was on PLD and Rathian WHM. Him curing me was a nice change. I noticed he never hasted or regened me. I wonder if that's months of bitterness about not getting haste in dynamis. Oh well, I didn't die and did a few specacular vokes to save lives through the night.
I tried BLU/BLM on the Temenos elementals floor. It was... not that different from BLU/NIN. The breath attacks still didn't get resisted much. Elemental seal was nice for 1000 Needles (though it only did 800 damage, signifying some sort of natural magic damage reduction). But spells like Flying Hip Press and Firespit still failed to even break 200, despite all the INT and elemental magic and magic attack bonus and occasional Amplification spell additions from /BLM. Some people say that BLU/BLM works well but I just don't see how. It can't be all magic attack bonus... the BLU spells just seem too lousy to be boosted with gear enough to be worthwhile. I also don't see how they get the insane 800 damage heat breaths without spending serious gil on HP+ items. Final analysis: lol /BLM sub.
Halfhearted attempt to do ToAU29 for Sampi but nobody wanted to go at 12:30 AM. Including me. We'll try again later.
