That's How I Roll
This week was actually pretty fun. Dancer avatar soloing aside, I did a few decently nifty things.
I was haunting campaigns for a few days after recruiting Areuhat when Wise and I caught up with her in Grauberg. She was there with a complete legion of Bastokan NPCs and I was a bit worried that she wouldn't get to a chance to shine in combat. Awesomely, she was guarding the west side of the tower (the far side in Grauberg) and got attacked by two full waves of well-prepared Quadav including No'Mho Crimsonarmor and the powerful De'Vyu Headhunter, along with about a dozen lesser quadav. A full-out battle ensued as Areuhat (now in Odzmanouk wyrm form) blasted away with hurricane wings while the quadav head butted her slowly into submission. Aided by a group or iron musketeers, along with Wise, myself, and a few othe adventurers that had ventured to the far side of the tower, we slowly beat them back.
Best. Campaign. Ever. Windy'll probably steal her back tomorrow, but I've had my fun. Totally worth it to fight alongside a wyrm (well, more at the feet of a wyrm, but still.)
Oh yeah, 75 dancer. Not much has changed since 72. I got a silly hat and a brutal earring, bout it. Though Evasion Bonus lets me do some strange things.
Before getting to 75, I couldn't solo a campaign mob. Once I hit 75, I can solo two simultaneously. I found this out the hard way. It's a bit difficult to see in this picture but there are two quadav beating on me. I got one down to 25ish% before some other guys took the other off me. Yeah, evasion's pretty sweet. I think I'm going to work on a dancer evasion build for soloing.
I IS IMMUNE TO THROAT STAB. This happened when I was at full HP on BLU and seems to be some sort of bizzare 3/4 resist on throat stab. Didn't even know that was possible.
Salvage update. Battleclad Chariot got cancelled due to lack of people so we did Arrapago instead. Only the chariot dropped. My statistics are starting to normalize with it - it seems to have one of the best drop rates in salvage by far. The shot above took place on wednesday's run when we were doing Bhaflau ramparts. No mad bomber so did 2nd floor bees (no NMs) and were going to do the 4th floor rampart but we missed a gear, so we tried LBC instead. We really didn't have a good LBC group - not many DDs and no bard, but still managed to get it down to 8% before running out of healing magic. Ouch. Well, it was cool to try at least.
I was going to try to solo Uninvited Guests on dancer but other people were going so we just slaughtered it. Mushroom stew ftw. I'll try to solo it next time, darn it. Preferably after I get an evasion setup. And, like, actually cap my evasion skill.
Yay Dynamis-Bastok! Yay getting a piece of relic for my paladin that I don't actually use! This piece isn't amazing or even that great, but it's shiny and lets me see my hair, and that's what matters on jobs that I don't take seriously, darn it.
Yeah, my SAM is level 6. Apparently I'm a hypocritical lootwhore. This went free lot, and in dynamis you send a tell to the officer in charge with the level of your job, and highest job gets to lot. I sent a 6 and was apparently the only person to do so, so I won. Huh. No I don't plan on leveling SAM.
I now have a mannequin for PLD stuff. If the mannequin ever starts look totally awesome, I might regear the job. Right now it's got a bunch of 15 and 25 ares pieces from salvage on it. The other mannequin is Sailor Emo, but she doesn't look very emo without her Voyager Sallet.
Helped a group out on Nyzul, cuz that's how I roll. Killed Cerebus on body floor but no drops.
Saving the most interesting news for last, Tiamat popped when the linkshells that were camping it were doing other endgame stuff, so AXI hauled out there and claimed and killed it in a couple hours. It was actually pretty encouraging for the linkshell to be able to take it down, especially after our total fail attempt to claim it last week or so.
Certain people were terrible MP sponges and I took hate a lot. Here's a shot of Tiamat preparing to shoot some fire at me. It got so bad that an LS member traded me his novia earring for the enmity down, which helped a little but not a lot.
FIRE CRYSTAL DROP! Oh, and some gaiters. The LS is debating what to do with them. I know I have no chance of touching them, being new and stuff, so I'm not terribly worried. I will say this though - if they decide to sell them under the guise of boosting the LS bank (a bank that isn't used for anything by dynamis runs and seems to be handling itself okay) I will be extremely wary in camping stuff and staying up way late to fight things like Tiamat in the future. It's pretty weak sauce to go through all this trouble and finally get the item only to sell it off only so we can wipe to dynamis lord slightly more often.
Ooops. Dropped into cynical mode for a sec there. Yay Tiamat! Yay gaiters drop! Yay AXI! No actually, it is cool to kill it. Been too long since I did.
