internship!
I started my internship in the library/archives of the Independence Seaport Museum yesterday. I'm very excited about it! I spent the whole day yesterday going through oversized photographs and noting information about them and any condition problems. Most of them were photos of ships, but some were photos of lots of stodgy-looking men at banquets (in one picture, no less than 50% of the men had handlebar mustaches!). I then took the information I wrote down and put it into a spreadsheet! On Friday, I'm going to look at even bigger photos (possibly as large as 3'x4')
I'm going to be at my internship every Thursday and Friday for the next 3 to 6 months. In that time, I should be able to get a lot of experience doing all kinds of different things. I might even get to create an online exhibition! I love history!
