Since moving to Chicago and becoming a member at the Gene Siskel Film Center, I've discovered that they have this fabulous
EU Film Festival every spring. They seem to partner with the embassies and they get submissions from the member nations. This year, they had submissions from every country of the EU, even Malta!
Sadly, I missed a lot of them because various coworker vacations and such things had me working in the evenings but I managed to attend 24 of the films, which is more than I overheard any of the established cinephiles say they went...
