New Place
So I've finally decided on a new place in Houston. It's very close to Kerby Place, and it's still in the Med Center so I'm very happy about that. The rent is steep though, but the unit itself is beautiful. Hard wood floors, garden view, and wi-fi everywhere. I signed a 12 month lease, and I'm only planning to stay for that long. As soon as I move in I'm reapplying to the UT apartment for the Summer 2010. That way I'll have a year to make it to the top of their waitlist. I'm hoping that will work better than the 2 weeks advance application I submitted the first time:P
I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. The prospect of homelessness is always a buzz-kill, even during the best days. The complex is called The Alexan on Main, and I can't wait to move! It's so much nicer than Kerby Place, and it's actually cheaper. I'm even getting excited about getting furniture and decorations^_^ I move in on July 10.
