Can't blame a girl for trying, eh? What amused me most was something I've seen elsewhere - the judge pointed out that if indeed the fetus qualified as a second person, she deserved to be cited for allowing a passenger to occupy the driver's seat!

so, you won't bother using carpool lanes without llnaughty, I assume? :)

or bob. i've always wondered what'd happen if a cop pulled me over for using the carpool lane because s/he couldn't see bob in her carseat.

I'm pretty sure Bob counts - any post-birth human being does. So I guess the cop'd just shrug and let you go again.

well obviously. ;) i guess i was just wondering if the cop would be embarrassed or not more than whether or not he had any case against me.

Oh. *blushes* Yeah, I imagine he'd be rather startled. :)

A teacher of mine once imported a car from England, and liked to drive around with her baby in the front seat.... (ie, baby was on the "driver's side" for an American, but passenger side in a British-made car.) She got quite a few double-takes.

[note, this was about 20 years ago, when the baby in the front seat was not considered a safety risk/illegal!]

And for allowing a minor to ride while not in a child safety restraint.
