The thing is, a month or so ago I mentioned to her that I was sure that something really was up - he and I have the same kind of nose (a bit pointed) and ( Read more... )

And it was such a compliment when you said I was honest and hopeful. I actually had to reread my entry to see what you had meant, and it made me feel better about things. Thank you.

I honestly just want to frame that on my wall. You know, they say a wise man has something to say and an idiot just has to say something - well you definitely had something to say! Like I honestly want it on a postcard or something.

You might would like the poem "Invictus" by William Earnest Henley. It definitely helps one through. Then again, I'm a poetry fanatic.

Maybe I won't even frame it. Maybe I'll print it and stick it on my wall, in tiny enough print that you have to lean it to decipher it. Sometimes you have to work for life messages (but clearly, in this instance, I did not, since you just sent it very quickly via the interwebs).

Poetry - the one skill I have that won't really land me anywhere. For most poets I can name atleast one poem they've done, if I like something they've done I can recite it. Or atleast most of it. In fact, once I named Invictus I wanted to state a few poems that are helpful during trying times and figured it superfluous. [Totally excited that I had an excuse to use superfluous in a sentence, BTdubs].
