CLEAR!

Good evening gentles. Yes, you have it from me first - this marks another attempt by the mighty Patriarch Eras to revive his LJ. Perhaps it shall work. Perhaps it shall not. I just want to use it for a litte assistance in vertical self ambulation. Yes, that is getting over myself. So much that I'm not even going to tell you all why.

On creative front I'm my usually creative self on the matters of gaming and authorship. Still managing to get a bit of gaming done with Neuro now and again and it's looking increacingly like I have a real gaming group for mage! Provided that I get the character in and manage to arrange a session but we're all students so Saturday should be a fine day for the three of us. I think I'll just play around with an LA based setting - lots of very Gothic/Fantastic imagery with lots of whistful streets full of faded 1930's Showbiz hotels and gathering places for the rich and famous that have seen better days. I think I'll include enough gritty street level violence, with enough of the horrific consternations of everyday life to keep it wod but at the same time keep it magical (and by that I mean metaphysical, not changeling-y) enough that someone having a vision of it raining firey angels wouldn't make the players double take.

On the fiction front I'm more prolific than I could possibly have time to actualy take advantage of it but I wouldn't sleep... not that I do anyway so I might as well write. I have Chalicebury - a lighthearted swashbuckling horror in a gothic fantasy world; Skyfall - a surreal post-apocalypse mystery starring a man who has no memories but most definately isn't human (re-edit); The Lamplighter Conspiracy - have been working on it forever. Anyone who reads this journal has heard about it. Wish I hadn't had writer's block on it for over eight months now; Kiss of the Rose - a collection of short stories about mages and technocrats set in my LA game. Started as an exercise to work out the most important pair of mages in the game and how they related to each other but now I can't make them stop wanting to be written - stories of Desperation, Phyrric Victory, Sacrifice, Enlightenment, Magic and the Pain of letting go. I love being like this. I don't care if my stuff is junk, I reffer to it as Escapist Trash myself, I love having this many ideas and this many chaarctes to write. I wouldn't have it anyother way for the world (hail Apollo and Hermes by the way and power utmost to the holy word VYB)

Then again I have also plenty of other things that need editing and typing up onto computer. A very successful and far less flawed re-write of an older cycle of Stories called Gordian Alchemy currently exists only in handwriting (my own tribute to the Genre of British Dystopia) and there's my cyberpunk ghost story Indian Burial ground. Not to mention The House of The Fool. I wrote it for a competition - this is my defence to it's pretentiousness, not that anyone but Cath and I have seen it (she couldn't finish it, the lead character was too annoying) but it is wonderful in it's philosophical nature and diascourse. I just hope that the end looks like I'm laughing at myself not that I got bored with the discussion. Then again nobody will ever know at this rate. Then again this is my journal and I'm allowed to be self-refferential. Wow... thats it... oh and I'm in a round-robbin storytelling thing with Cath that I'll post on tommorow (promise!). Oh, and Lamplighter exists only on a bundle of reporter's notebooks... which scares me.

Once more Holy Praises to thy work Hermes and Apollo and holy, holy, holy praises to the mighty word VYB. Amen.

Esson L'Touch!
