The norm.

This morning, I will admit to being irked. I am wardrobing a puppet-ballet concieved by one of the premier puppet artists in the industry (along with Russian identical twin sister pianists!), and since the show has been in and out of boxes for the past decade, the preparation is not perfect.

I walked in this morning, started dealing with the puppeteers' laundry, and was immediately approached and told I needed to build a laundry list of items. An hour before the first show. Thankfully, only one of the items was needed for this morning's show; the rest I worked on throughout the day. Stay cool, C.C., I told myself after the matinee, there are at least a hundred other people out there who would kill to be repairing puppet props at a professional venue. You win. Now frankenstein this expensive silk together like the stitchin' ninja you are.

I also suspect that this particular famed puppeteer may be the person who built the bunraku puppets for my college senior show. I need to ask him tomorrow. Because I still think of those puppets and smile.

Again, when did this become my life?
