I get here, find a ship, it explodes, and I'm back on an the Island. Anyone need an extra person to join their pirate crew?

If not, I'll just make my own ship out of wood or something.

But more importantly than finding I ship, I'd like to draw everyone's attention to this:

Seriously? )

really?

Panther and whiskey sound interesting. Especially tobacco. That would either be the greatest flavor ever or horribly done.

Don't join a pirate crew.

Yeah. I wonder if they really exist.

But I have an eye patch! I thought I would fit in perfectly.

Grand Line. You never know.

... Eye patches do not a pirate make. Several marines have eye patches as well.

I'll go look for them.

I was joking around, and what's a marine? The opposite of a pirate?

Let me know if they taste like the real thing.

Something like that. Pirates break the law, marines enforce it. It's all very cops and robbers.

Sure. Can I ask for your name?

It sounds logical enough, but it looks like a lot of good people are tagging with the pirates.

Commodore Smoker with the marines.

Pardon?

If the marines are the good guys and the pirates are the bad guys, then why are there good people who are pirates?

Because the world isn't black and white. Not every single pirate in all of existence and all the past are evil heartless bastards that rape, pillage, and burn down towns at whim. And not every single marine protects innocent lives and follows justice.

The majority of pirates look pretty good to me so far, and even though not all of them are bad, shouldn't most of them be? Since you said it's like cops and robbers. But hey, that's just me. I don't know this place well enough.

So, why should I join the marines?

Most of them are bad. Kidnapping people and throwing them into slavery for the sake of money. Burning down towns and robbing banks for fame. Killing innocent civilians, do these things sound like good guys to you? Who the hell have you met for pirates?

To stop the aforementioned problems.

Oh. I guess I haven't met those ones yet.

I have friends who are pirates now. I don't think I'll be against them.

Give it a couple days. Or I could give you an extremely long list.

Oh? Mind if I ask who?

I'll wait to find out on my own.

Rinali and Miranda.

Suit yourself.

... Tch. First off Rinali just joined a bounty hunter crew: not pirates, and Miranda hasn't DONE one piratey thing since she got her and for that matter neither has the S.S. Haruhi! So forgive me if I find if circumspect to use those two as your definition of why pirates are good and marines are the bad guys for chasing them. Why don't you go talk to Xanxus' crew or some shit?

I don't know what the hell pirates are supposed to be like here! And I never said the marines were bad guys. I'm only assuming things right now, and I don't even know Xanxus. So excuse me if the only 'pirates' I've talked to so far are pansy wannabees.
