Who: Lavi and Matt
What: They're playing video games for the hell of it.
Where: Seven Sins; Matt's room
When: Let's go with last night
Warnings: Typos, alcohol, atari porn, cursing, fluffy gayness, pretty long log.
Already had Lavi memorized the interior of the seven sins. If he hadn't, then it would have taken him a good few hours to find Matt's room. When he reached the room, the red head immediately sat on Matt's bed and grinned stupidly at the other boy. "What are we doing this time?" He's already played horror so he couldn't help but be curious about the other games Matt would have.
"So excited today." Matt laughed lightly at the sudden intrusion -even if he had been expecting it. - and approached his TV, changing channels, like he had been doing last time. "Today we'll be flipping switches, jumping over barrels, and if god's on our side, we'll be saving princesses from evil gorillas." His Atari looked well-preserved for the years it had and, from the look the TV was giving Lavi, it seemed like the inner workings of the machine were still good to go. " Or fixing elevators, that's good too."
As if the last game wasn't odd enough. Evil gorillas and jumping over barrels. Lavi just nodded as Matt spoke, and decided to go along with it. It sounded like it would be fun, at least. He shifted so that he was sitting cross legged, and at Matt's last comment, he blinked a few times. He wanted to ask what an elevator was, but decided that he'd find out in the game anyways.
"..." Yeah. He should have foreseen this. " I hope you're planning to stay over." The red-head smirked, giving Lavi the control after setting up the first level of Donkey Kong. "Try out the controls, before jumping around over the barrels... Yeah." Matt lights up a cigar, and places it to his lips. He liked watching Lavi play, even if it was Atari, he thought it'd be as fun as last time. "And get the girl at the end."
Staying over? Yeah, because a marine spending the night at a pirate ship was a great idea. "Why would I be staying over?" he asked while taking the controller from Matt. The graphics of the game were lacking compared to Silent Hill. It must have been older, obviously. "Get the girl? This should be easy enough." Doing as the other boy said, he messed around with the controls before starting.
"Beer. " The red-head said, but he'd keep the booze for later in the night. He watched as Lavi played with the tiny character, made it jump onto the platforms and was crushed by the barrels. "...Try harder, or that monkey'll get the girl. " Taking in a smoke, and sitting on the floor near Lavi, Matt began to relax and just enjoy watching the other boy play.
Lavi paused for a split second remembering the last time he drank. As long as they weren't playing any kinds of drinking games, he'd be fine - even if what happened the time before was a bit funny in the beginning. "I'll be sober enough to get back." His concentration fell back to the game - surprisingly, it was a bit harder than he thought. "The monkey wont get her."
"Are you sure? He looks like he's about to rape her." The red-head gave a light laugh, leaning his head back against the mattress and just listening to the sounds of the game and Lavi pressing the buttons of Matt's ancient controller. " I suppose you never heard of King Kong. " It was normal, just like Lavi had never heard of elevators and Matt talked about them.
When a barrel hit the small character, the corners of Lavi's lips tugged into a frown. "He's not gonna rape her." He was definitely going to win this game. "I've never heard of King Kong," he said with a shrug.
Matt chuckled. "It's a movie about a giant gorilla that kidnaps this woman and then goes to the top of a building and fights planes. And then dies. " Right, Matt hadn't even mentioned half of the movie, but that was okay. If Lavi ever wanted to watch it, he could just ask. " ...Oh fuck yeah. He's going to rape her if you keep that up. " It was just to see Lavi with that pretty frown on hi-- He shook his head and closed his eyes again, exhaling quietly.
At the description of the movie, Lavi chuckled. "Who the hell comes up with those ideas?" Shit, another barrel hit him. Now the game was starting to irk him. "I'm almost at the top. She'll be fine." He licked his lower lip and stared at the game until he finally made it. "Ha! See? She didn't get raped."
"Sure, sure. You do know he catches her and tries to rape her again on the next level, right?" And at that, the screen changes and the next level shows up, the gorilla still throwing the barrels down and the character stuck at the lowest point in the screen. "...Yeah, like that." It was for this that Matt opened his eyes, to see the look on Lavi's face. Maybe he should make Lavi play 'Don't shoot the puppy', too.
"This game.." The red head glared at the screen like it just slapped him in the face. How many levels were there!? "Can this pause..?" He looked down at the controller and pushed a small button which stopped the music and movement of the game. When he placed the controller next to him, he tugged off the heavy jacket he usually wore to reveal a long sleeved black shirt. "That's better ~" With a smile on his face, he continued with the game.
"..." You look better like that. Ah, the pleasures of speaking to oneself, Matt felt them all. Like this, he could compliment the other without suffering the consequences: that would be, obviously, confusion on poor Lavi's end. Poor thing. " ...Maybe I should take mine, off, too. " The red-head didn't even know why he was wearing it, so why not remove it...which he did, throwing it somewhere. He couldn't wait to see Lavi's face the moment he found out that there were a lot more levels he had to go through.
"Go for it." Maybe he shot a glance at Matt when he was taking off his vest, just maybe. Oh yeah, the game. Now that he was used to it, Lavi passed the level with more ease. But there was another after that looked the same. Again. He frowned again. It wasn't like he was bored with it, it was just frustrating again. "How many times does this girl get kidnapped?"
"Four or five times, I guess." Matt didn't catch him looking, no, he did not, but he couldn't deny that he was sneaking little peeks at Lavi's face through his goggles. "You're almost there. You'll know when it's over... " Namely because the girl would jump into Mario's arms and Matt would have to get up and get another game into the machine.
"That doesn't sound too bad." And yet it took him god knows how long to finish it. "I think I won." Lavi flashed a grin and uncrossed his legs so he could kick off his boots. "That didn't take too long ~"
"Hah, you were just lucky. Beginner's luck..." And he moves to the console, turning off the game and changing to another. "Now... If you can figure this one out, I'll give you a reward. " Robin hood was inserted, and Matt sat back on his place. "Because in this game, I don't think that there's more than one level." ...Well, Matt wasn't wearing anything to cover his feet, so he felt no need to remove anything else...
Lavi smirked and adjusted his headband. One level? This wouldn't be so tough. The game started and he began to move the little person. No offense to Matt, but the game didn't seem too fun. All he did was move around. shoot poor excuses of arrows, and die. And somehow, while in the course of playing the game, Lavi shifted so he was laying on his stomach.
"See, you can't beat it." Matt looked up at Lavi from his little place. "But you can turn into a tombstone." And he offered him a smirk, since their faces happened to be closer due to Lavi's change of position. "I just wanted to see if you'd be the one to finally beat it. Since no one else did. " The red-head even chuckled at this, finishing his cigar. "...want another shitty game?" And with this, Matt picked up a bottle. Why start now? Because for Matt, this was like drinking coke. " Or a slightly better one. God knows I have tons."
The red head nodded when the character fell from a tree and turned into a tombstone. Perhaps he should admit defeat on this once. "I'll try again later." He placed the controller next to him and shot a glance at Matt. "I'm kinda thirsty right now."
When Lavi said that, Matt had just drank a little himself, and he smiled."I hope you don't mind drinking from the same bottle." And he passed the already open bottle to Lavi, bringing his goggles down to his neck so he could get a proper look at the other red-head. "Do you get drunk easily?"
Lavi simply shrugged and took the bottle from Matt to take a sip from it. A trickle of the drink slid down Lavi's chin due to the position he was in. "I don't mind." After taking another sip, he handed up back to Matt and wiped of his chin. "No way." That more or less could have been a lie.
"You sure?" Matt could hold his liquor, he just hadn't drank in a long, long time. So he probably was out of practice...probably, but he couldn't tell from just one nice gulp - after all, he still noticed that little drop before Lavi so quickly wiped it off. "I don't want you passing out so soon, Lavi. " And without saying much, he took another large sip, he liked the feeling of the alcohol when he drank fast...
"Yep." Sure he got pretty tipsy a few weeks ago, but he'd be fine now. It wasn't like he'd drink too much. "I wont pass out," he said with a reassuring smile. "Let he have some more." Lavi streched his arm out and slightly waved his hand - kind of like the way a child would when they wanted something.
"I don't know if I should...Aren't you underage..?" The red-head laughed and gave the other the bottle, touching his fingers lightly as he did so. Why not, anyway? "Watch out, anyway. It's not my responsibility..." It was and he'd blame himself, but a few drinks later? He was starting not to care too much about the state he was in, and when he did laugh and smirk, he did so a bit more openly. Like now, per example.
"Aren't you?" Lavi reached for the bottle again, a smile playing against his lips. "You're starting to sound like Miranda," he said with a slight chuckle. Seriously, he wasn't going to get drunk. After a bit of trading the bottle back and fourth, however, he may have been a bit tipsy. A shade of pink tinted his cheeks and now he was laying on his back.
"I'm twenty-some. But more than twenty one, that I can tell you." Or so he thought. It wasn't like it mattered, no, not at all...And whatever the other said, he wasn't like this Miranda person. Matt did notice, though, when Lavi seemed to start to gain this light blush on his cheeks and he couldn't help but chuckle a bit at it. " Is it me... or are you starting to..." ...He chuckled again. Why was he so happy to see Lavi blush, exactly?
Lavi stared up at the ceiling, his thoughts currently on Matt's appearance. He didn't look like he was twenty something. 'You're really short' he wanted to say but decided against it. When Matt spoke again, the red head finally sat up and looked at the other with questioning eyes. "Starting to what?" He didn't seem to get what was funny.
"Blush." His finger touched one of those pinker cheeks, and he couldn't stop smiling. Now, those looked cute, even in the dim light, Matt's other hand holding another bottle, already half-empty. "See? Closer and closer to the time where you'll really pass out, Lavi."
Maybe if it were a few hours ago, Lavi would have rolled his eyes at Matt touching his cheek. Perhaps he'd tease him like he would to Allen. But not there was alcohol in his system so all he could do is chuckle. Everything seemed so funny. "I'm not going to pass out ~"
...He got Lavi to chuckle. That was an improvement; that was a real, real improvement."Heh, I made you smile." The red-head didn't even see the need to drink any more, even if he did so a few seconds later. "I should get an award. That was a real smile, wasn't it...?" It was. Generally Matt didn't let his mind get hazy this soon, but...
Lavi chuckled again, his hand reaching out for the bottle once more. Though he missed it completely and fell to his side, his arm hanging off the side of the bed. How many times was he going to change is position? "I always smile," the red head said with a grin. "You know." He closed his eye and chuckled lightly. "Your bed smells nice." Maybe he would pass out there.
"...really? I thought it smelled like cigarette smoke." He sat on the bed, bringing the bottle with him, chuckling farther and giving it to Lavi. "Because yeah...People tell me I'm a fucking chimney. " ...to say the truth, Matt laid down right there next to the other, even though the closest part of Lavi to his face was his knee.
Drinking and laying down at the same time was not a bright idea. All Lavi accomplished was getting more of it to spill on his chin. He did manage to place it back on the floor without knocking it over though. "Your breath probably tastes like smoke," he mumbled. "But you don't smell like it. Neither does your bed."
"Right now it tastes like fucking alcohol~. " The red-head sat up, a bit too fast, his head spinning just a little. "...I don't know... I thought at least my clothes would smell..." Matt leaned forward a bit, running a hand through his hair. " ...or my hair, or... yeah. Everything about me. " He removes his goggles, playing with them, a bit, his eyes then shifting towards Lavi's face. "...you smell good, too."
"Probably." He closed his eye again and sighed. "You think so? I probably smell like old books." Another chuckle escaped his throat for no particular reason. The alcohol was really starting to him. "..I should leave." Like Matt, he sits up but is overwhelmed by the feeling of dizziness.
"Now? Come on, we didn't even get to the best part yet, mate." Matt grinned, and, a bit unlike himself, touched the other's shoulder. "...Come on. Just stay a little while longer, it's not like you'll be in trouble if you take another hour or two. " The red-head looks at the other's eye. Maybe it was the alcohol, but he felt pretty confident.
Lavi began to rub his temple when Matt touched his shoulder. He looked at the other questioningly, but didn't bother to ask anything. "I'm not drinking anymore then." He smiled a bit and rubbed the back of his head. "I don't want to get pulled over by a sea king for drunk driving."
"I don't think Sea Kings talk yet. " ...Okay, that look made Matt put his hand down, again. " And I don't think you can relax this much in the marine base, so just chill out and enjoy it while you can. " Over thinking things while almost drunk? Matt probably needed a psychiatrist or something. Whatever happened, happened, in the end...
"I'm joking." Now that he was staying a bit longer, Lavi pulled off his headband and put it aside. "It's not as bad as you think, the marine base." He fell back to his side once more and stared up at Matt. "What now?"
"...shh, you can tell me how bad it is. I won't tell." Chuckling, he reached for the controller again. "We can play the trippiest games on this console, Lavi. Namely...Atari..." Okay, Matt probably sounded like a kid, talking about this, but he chuckled again, "Atari porn."
"It really isn't," he said again, laughing lightly. Being the skirt chaser he is, Lavi couldn't help but grin at what game they were about to play next. But then again, the graphics for Atari, as far as he knew, were not that great. "Should I be worried?"
"Come on. Tell me how it's like. " Matt replied, getting up, a bit wobbly, and picking up several leather-encased games. He threw the little cases to a place near Lavi, " Go ahead and choose. All of them are terrible and all of them make you wish you had never even thought about trying to play a porn game in the Atari."
"It's not that different than being at the Black Order." Not that Matt would know what that's like (or what it is, for one thing). "That one." Lavi pointed to a game at random and poked the case with his finger. "You play it though." He wasn't exactly up to picking up the controller again.
"...Black Order?" Matt could somehow relate to it. He always had to be under Mello to be at his best, and maybe for Lavi and all of his weird friends, they needed to be under some sort of weird ass organization. Or the Marines, same thing, in the end. " Hm... Yeah. You're going to like this one." The red-head inserted the game into the console and made his way past the menu screen. The game consisted in taking this naked man with a cowboy hat to a naked native American lady, while dodging arrows. Something that Matt really didn't have a problem with, even in his state.
"The organization I was apart of." Lavi let his eyes fall on the television, not bothering to move his body. A smile played against his lips when the game turned on. It was absolutely horrible; he couldn't help but laugh out loud. "This is stupid." He kept chuckling, the pink on his cheeks turning into a darker shade. Oh yeah, this game was a real turn on.
"Shut up, it's totally hot. " Matt replied almost immediately, ending up laughing with the other, the ridiculous sound that bleeped when he won filling the room to match their laughter. Sitting against the bed again, his head near Lavi's, he continued to play again and again, never dying once. " Come on, choose another one. I assure you they're all as exciting as this one."
"Sure it is." Teasingly, Lavi poked the side of Matt's cheek, the same way Matt did to him earlier. "Pass." Alcohol and staring at a screen didn't mix, his eye was beginning to hurt. His hand fell away from Matt's face, his arm hanging off the side of the bed again.
"Ah, fine..." Moving forward to turn the machine off, he returned to his place, his face moving a bit towards Lavi's. "Your eye hurt?" The red-head didn't move his gaze from the other's face, as he set the control down on the floor. The lights were off and the only source of light was the TV's black screen, so maybe it was easy for Lavi's eye to stop hurting.
"A bit." Now that the lights were off and that he was laying down, Lavi felt that the odds of him actually going home were very slim. If he stood, he'd probably walk into something - even if the light was on. Attempting to get back would end up with him drowning in the ocean. A moment of silence. Perhaps he'd break it. "You've been staring at me a lot." Lavi said casually
"It's your fault. " Matt said simply, closing his eyes for a bit, even if he wasn't going to shift from his position. "I don't know. You're interesting to look at, I suppose." Lavi knew why. Probably. He wasn't all that dumb, right? No. Not at all. Matt, stop thinking. Stop thinking, honestly. You're annoying everyone.
Lavi smirked. "It's alright. Nobody can resist my looks."
"Do you think you're that sexy?" The red-head smirked right back.
"Definitely." Lavi shut his eye and smiled widely. "I don't think I've leaving anymore, by the way." As if that wasn't already obvious.
"Told you you couldn't leave. My company is far too pleasant." Matt's smirk didn't leave his lips, though, bumping his head lightly into Lavi's. "Tch. You're going to fall asleep there and then I'll have to sleep on the floor..."
Matt was close enough to smell the alcohol in his breath. Lavi was a bit surprised at how much the red head could hold. "It's your room, you can take the bed."
Ookay. Be strong. "I wouldn't let you sleep on the floor." Well. that was...a a nice sentence. Yes. It was a good sentence. Hm-hm. "...with all the wires and such. Pretty uncomfortable..." And, still close to him. Oh yeah. Way to go, Matt, you're so fucking sensual.
"I've been in worse conditions." Lavi sat upward and slid off the bed. Now, he was right next to Matt. "So don't worry about it."
"...I'm sure you've been to hell and back. But I insist. " Oh. Change of positions. uh. What to do now? "I suppose I won't worry about it. If you're sleeping without using my ps2 as your pillow." Matt's voice was slightly lower, now, as he felt Lavi close by.
Lavi lifted his arms so he could stretch, a yawn passing from his lips. Yep, he was still ignoring Matt's request from him to sleep in the bed. "I wont." Maybe this was him being himself, or maybe it was him being drunk, but Lavi let his head fall against Matt's shoulder. "Your shoulder will suffice."
...physical contact. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAOHGOD. "...I think it likes you too." ...That. Was the corniest. Thing. You've ever said. But, Matt moved his head a little, just enough so that his nose would be resting in Lavi's hair. His voice came muffled. "...and you do smell better from up close. " A smell he couldn't pinpoint. Who knew if Lavi even washed his hair with normal shampoo...
Well, he was only joking about this but hey, he didn't mind sleeping on the other's shoulder..which was kind of odd. He'll just keep blaming the alcohol. "Good to know," he said referring to Matt's comments. Normally, Lavi would usually poke fun at the other for saying that, but now he was just tired. "We could always move if you're uncomfortable."
"Nah. I'm good." So now he should stay completely still and just lean his head back. But, forcing himself to talk, like he did in situations like these, he lowered his head a bit, his nose now touching the other's forehead. Maybe he'd understand. Hopefully. Jesus Christ, make him get it.
Lavi looked up, the temptation to question Matt's actions falling over him again. The read head tilted his head upward so he was eye to eye with Matt - quite the awkward position, really. "What?"
"I'm drunk. Never mind me." ...this was it. Why was he still hesitating, anyway? Lavi wouldn't hate on him or try to punch him. The maximum he'd do would be... not talk to him for a month, probably. Or forever. Or-Matt-didn't-really-care-how-long-so-he-should-just-do-it. And he did, closing the gap between their mouths. Lavi didn't feel like Mello, at all, for the few seconds Matt was like that, before he broke the kiss and just... waited.
Matt was acting kind of strange, so Lavi wasn't as shocked as he thought he would have been. In fact, he didn't even mind it. (Once more, this could be the alcohol) "Wait." Lavi smiled dumbly and pressed his lips against Matt's as a return kiss. "Yep, you don't really taste like a cigarette." And that's all he had to say about that before letting his head slump back into it's original position on Matt's shoulder.
This was unexpected. But not unpleasant at all, actually. Matt chuckled to himself, his lips meeting Lavi's hair. "Well. That was hot. " Just a small kiss, nothing heated or anything like he had done with Mello. Yes, this was good for now. And, like he had said, totally hot. Yep...just good enough. And he'd probably fall asleep like that, soon....
