Today was SciTech orientation. HolyfuckIloveitsomuchlykwoah.
I had to be at B.L. Gray Middle School at 7 am so the buses could come and pick us all up. Omar, Justin, Rolie, Britt *yay*, etc., were there, and we had fun on the way over there.
And then I re-met Monique, who's flippin' cool.
The principal spoke about how the school runs, and the rules and such (there's barely any; he knows what he's doing), and then other teachers and seniors talked about the different clubs (I signed up for Astronomy Club and I hope to get into Music Club because they play DDR), and then we were set to build a tower that could hold a 1000g weight with the items they gave us in a little brown paper sack. The people at my table were Akasia, Andrew, Eric, Hana, and *wave*. Well, we call him *wave* because when we asked him "Where are you from?" and "What is your name?" he just waved at us. It was flippin hilarious. And then at the end of the day he told us that his name is Robert. And he draws manga style really well. And stuff. So I made new friends.
After we were done building the towers, we ate pizza and got to wander around the school. There is only one building, plus the Library, and then MedHigh. It's so flippin sweet. I never want to leave that place. School is going to be -so- much fun. I don't -care- how much homework I have. I'll do it all. And get good grades. And make my teachers proud of me. And yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! *squee*
And then we went to the Library. HOLYSHITITSSOBIG.
There are 30,000+ books, with 30,000 sq. feet of space. It. Is. So. Beautiful. And...just...wow. The Head Librarian is really cool.
I am so enthused about school...I can't believe myself.
I have an Algebra placement test (and maybe the IPC placement test) so that the school can see where I stand in education. I think I'm fucked for IPC, because they cover a lot, so I'm probably just going to take it over again. And then take courses in the summer. Because I love school now. Fuck Shary. Fuck everything else. School owns. Hardcore. *mucholuff*
