according to my diet analysis, i have lost 6 pounds in the last 3 days.. which seems like a lot for that little of time, but it could have just been water or something. On top of that i have gained 400 percent of my daily vitamin intake. woo hoo! this makes me feel really good about this diet. Now i just need to start exercising and stop smoking. ( Read more... )

welll i had to do this project for my health class that i'm taking at pcc, and we were required to buy this "diet analysis plus" thing from the book store for one of our projects. I think it was like 20 bucks or something, and it's just this password for this website (www.wadsworth.com/daplus). and so we had to write down everything we ate for 3 days, and calculate all the calories, calories from fat, daily vitamin intake, etc. which is basically what this website does for you. but it breaks down each food you eat into like a trillion different categories and percentages so you can see exactly how much of what vitamins/calories/saturated fat/cholestoral etc is in each food. and it also tells you what you should be eating as far as a balanced diet goes for your specific weight/height/body type. Plus it calculates your daily exercising in with the food.
But anyways... for my project i thought i was doing pretty well, just cause i seemed to be eating less than i normally do. and it turns out i was eating like 2700 calories a day.. i had no idea. so i was wondering to myself "geez if i eat this much when i think i'm doing good, i wonder what a normal day is like" so i decided i needed make some big changes as far as my eating habbits go.
I've been trying to base my diet on the food pryamid. but eat a lottt more vegetables and fruits.. and eat no dairy foods cause they have a toonnn of fat in them. and drink like a ton of water. like basically yesterday, for an example i had all fruits for breakfast, i had all vegetables for lunch, and then i had a normal meal for dinner. like chicken and lentil soup or something with more broccoli.
