Castle Point Park goodness

Weather was good enough Sunday to go over to Castlepoint park and do a bit of a walk-about.

I really like the area, despite the occassional hassles with driving there (mental note, find which bus goes along there and start to use it, there's no reason not to). They have that great mix of city-front beaches, the yacht slips, and old fortress on one side all looking out to sea... Then on the back half of the fortress you can sit on the benches and watch the harbor tugs working, planes doing their thing on Logan runway and cargo-cranes loading and unloading the freight ships (although not on Sunday for that last one) when you want to get your 'hey look at that awesome tech!' on.

Oh yeah. and since the weather was so grand, everyone brought their dogs & kids out for some fresh air. Lots of adorable toddlers and happy pups frolicing on the lawns. Almost every breed was out and about, several incredibly handsome bulldogs, and the usual assortment of golden's, terrier's and spaniels.

Every now and again I think I'd like a big dog to play with when I go on long walks, but I'd need the lifestyle that goes with it with the yard and the flexible work hours with which to _take_ long walks on a regular basis. :-P That and the fact that my grey cat is already a spazz and would probably never come out from under the bed again. :-D
