Holy frijoles, my head is finally above water, the weekend is gone, done, over, summer is here, and the rest of my life is on the horizon.
Whew.
Graduation day was ...well, good, even if obviously bittersweet. But I was right behind Gina in line, who kept me entertained, especially when about to walk up to the platform... "Okay, here's our plan of attack, there's 4 steps..."
Went to eat at the Derby afterwards by the race track, and it was FAB, they even gave me a flaming Baked Alaska for dessert. It really was on fire. Literally. It was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. I wanted to eat the fire, but it went away too soon.
GradNight was just pure insanity. Pure. (crazyfun.) Insanity.
Saturday, went with grandparentals and co. down to Irvine, to visit some family friends, show them around Concordia, and sleep in the car. The latter of which gave me neck pains for the next two days.
Then weird shiznit happened.
Chris had to go to the emergency hospital overnight and have minor surgery. Can we say... SCARY AND RANDOM? Yes. Scary and random. He'd been having this pain in his abdomen for awhile, and on Saturday it just kept getting worse and worse to the point where he was too weak to drive home from work, so my dad and grandpa went out to get him, and luckily right nearby was the Foothill Hospital (where I was born)... turns out he had what they call a (yes it makes me cringe too) "strangled testicle" where the circulation was messed up, etc, and if they had arrived one hour later, he would have lost it. Yes. PAIN AND SUFFERING. My poor bro. But he is home, and doing okay, and besides being his nurse and waitress today I've had a ton of other jobs tossed upon me by my mother while she is gone at school. Joy.
But anyway. Yesterday night was Maddy's gradparty. Which was quite fun, 3/5 of the Bean-E-Doo's were there, much laffing ensued, the food was good, and I did some random karaoke including that song from Zorro, yep. I have been karaoke'd out this weekend, lol. And yo Madizzy, sorry for being an idiot and interrupting your quiet moment right before I left lol, I realized right when doing it how brilliant it was. Oops. hehee. Luvya.
And so here I am.
First REAL day off.
With some filing to do for madre (hey, she's gonna pay me $30! good and bad; that means it's going to be a looooong job), kitchen chores, and other random blahness.
And I think I just saw the UPS truck down the street.
*crosses fingers*
