I am exhausted.

So this post will not be as comprehensive as I'd like it to be. I'd love to blather about all the fannish (and non-fannish) stuff that's been making me happy lately, but I just don't have the energy to do any of it justice. Pretty much, I'm going to blink and be in Colorado already, because we're looking at ONE WEEK until we load up the truck and get out of here.

ONE WEEK.

I'm sorry, I went to the midnight showing of HP7 last night so just typing that has me close to passing out on my keyboard.

(HP7? It was amazing. David Yates FTMFW. He gets the absolute best performances out of the trio, and I love his visual style. Tense, dark, beautiful film.)

Here, maybe I can do some more nutshell commentary!

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West → It's Uncharted meets Prince of Persia sci-fi style, and I do not understand why more people aren't talking about it. If you're into gaming for that rare golden combo of story and character, you need to pick this up yesterday. (It was written by the guy who penned 28 Days Later if that helps.)

Middlemarch by George Eliot → Started it at the urging of my sisters-in-law. It's long and overdetailed but somehow never tedious. HOW? I'm fascinated. And barely anything's happening. She draws such thoroughly believable characters.

The Force Unleashed II → WHAT HAPPENED? LucasArts, you are on notice. (I typed up a big long reaction after beating it a few weeks ago; I'll post it eventually. In short, I was disappointed. I still enjoyed my playthrough, but I see now why Haden Blackman left the project and I mourn what could have been.)

I'm getting less nutshell-y as I go along. How about:

Cowboys and Aliens → LOL FOREVER.

In conclusion: Black coffee is delicious. How did I ever drink it with cream and sugar? The taste wakes me up as much as the caffiene. And, 5 calories a cup? Yes please.

This post brought to you by three hours of sleep! :D
