The homestretch

Three weeks. Then finals. Then May 10th comes and I say adieu to being a college sophomore. This has me alternately YAY-ing and shrinking in the corner, cos um... the prospect of being dropped in the real world within two years' time, sink or swim, is just... a bit unnerving. Yeah.

In the meantime, I feel like Mulder in this here icon. Eating deadlines makes me braindead and devoid of much coherent or stimulating thought. So, apologies in advance.

Is it wrong of me to be so excited over the fact that The Bourne Ultimatum starts filming in July? With Paul Greengrass back at the helm? It makes me want to stick my Supremacy DVD in right now and revel in its beautiful unconsidered world and stark realism and tight, tight pacing and glorious John Powell score and Jason. Bourne. Yes. The Bourne films represent one case where (in my humblest of opinions) the movies are far classier than the books (sorry Ludlum fans). And Supremacy is such a step up from Identity, which I moderately enjoyed but never really fell for. Greengrass just has the touch for Bourne's state of mind. And I have never been more happy to hear that a film's plot will have nothing to do with the novel it's based upon. Ultimatum (the book) was headache-inducing. Argh.

Anyway, back to watching The Rainmaker for my Film as Literature class... which is actually more than a little enjoyable. I heart Katharine Hepburn; I just wish I didn't have to write a 7-page research paper on her.
