I entered the Nikon International Photo Contest last year, and just checked out the results today. I didn’t win anything, but since there were 31,000 entries from 10,000 professional and amateur photographers, I’m not too despondent. Thought I’d post this link to the winners in case anyone wanted to see some interesting images. Below is one of the images I entered.
Or not. Hm. Can't get the image to show up. I think I'll have to consult someone who knows more about this than I do. In the mean time, I have put my image up as this entry's userpic.
