I made it safely back to the farm last night, about an hour or so later than I had originally planned due to some last-minute things I needed to take care of in the city. One of those things was to make a quick stop at Costco to pick up some hamburger patties. While I was there, I decided to have another look down the electronics aisle to see if by some miracle they had any Wii-Fits. Glory Be!! They must have had a shipment come in on Sunday (or sometime between Saturday afternoon and Monday Morning) because there was a whole pallet-load of them! YAY! I still had $91 left on my Costco rebate, and their price was $97 for the Wii-Fit. I've pretty much paid for my entire Wii system using Costco rebate cheques, as the orignal system was purchased with last year's cheque.
At any rate, the trip back to the farm was otherwise uneventful, which is the way I like it. The effects of Spring are definitely noticable along the highway, with the ditches and dividers already starting to turn green. Out on the farm, almost all of the snow has melted and there are green blades of grass rising up amoung last year's yellow remains. It won't be long before everything is a luxurious rich green again, which means I've got to get the mower-deck for the John Deere garden tractor working ASAP.
It's 4:40pm as I write this, and I'm minding the bowling-alley while Trixstir and the kidling are in Calgary for a couple of days. I've had no customers all day (often the case on a Tuesday) which is just fine as I've spent the time cleaning things up and organizing. Once things are really settled, these lulls in activity will allow me to work on other online projects. That's the beauty of web-based work, you can do it pretty much anywhere so long as you have a connection.
