Getting Ready

Aug 19, 2012 22:25

Just had a nice supper with my brother and his girl-friend at Mom's place: BBQ'd steak, baked potatoes, fresh Taber corn, garlic-toast, salad...  MmmmMMmmmmm.....  :)

I've printed off copies of my intinerary for my Mom, and emailed another copy to Trixstir.  Everyone is doing well back at the farm, and things are about as ready as they're going to get here.  Time to head for bed, as I've got the be up in less than six hours to head off to the airport to catch my flight.  The flight doesn't leave until 6:46am, but I've got to be there two hours before then to make sure I get through security on time.  Hopefully there won't be too much of a crowd at that hour.  Also hope I can find some free WiFi spots at the airport to entertain myself during the wait.  In a worst case, I'm bringing a copy of "Moby Dick" that I've been trying to read for some time now; It's taking some doing - Authors were a lot more "wordy" in Herman Melville's time, and of the way in which they spoke was rather different as well.

Enough for now - Bedtime!
