STRESS...
Ever since I woke up this morning, around 6am, I've been high-strung and stressed. I don't know why exactly; Yes, multiple things are hitting the fan at the same time, but there's nothing new about that. Adding to my stress levels today was the realization that I was supposed to have the artwork for a new ad submitted by tomorrow afternoon. Turns out I don't actually have to have it in until Friday, but that's just delaying the inevitable. :/
This is the ad that I came up with (click on it to see it full-sized) this afternoon. I wanted to create an ad that would showcase the Dolmar product line that I brought in last year. While the brush-cutters have sold well, I have yet to sell a single chain-saw,and those things aren't cheap! My inventory is paid for, but on credit-cards, so I'd really like to get the saws sold so I can pay off my CC bill. I'm really happy with the way this ad looks, but I'm thinking that it might not be appropriate for the intended publication.
The ad is to go into a "Salute to Agriculture" supplement in one of the local papers; and that's where the problem lies: I think I'd be better to run an ad featuring the various engines that I sell and service, stressing their importance on farm implements like augers, roto-tillers, and water-pumps. This part of Saskatchewan is not heavily forested (the North certainly is though!) but there are still enough trees around to make chain-saws useful around here.
I'm thinking that this ad would be better placed in a "Spring Clean-Up" supplement, or something akin to that instead of one that's focused more directly on Agriculture.
