Definitely feeling better with each passing day. As I expected it would, my weight rose up again once I started drinking enough water to really rehydrate myself. As of this morning, my weight is back up to 300.2 pounds, which still gives me a net loss of more than eight pounds, so I'm happy with that. My gut is no longer churning, though it still recoils at things that my mouth would love to sink its teeth into! ;)
Got two of the big display shelves set up at the shop yesterday, though I have yet to figure out how I'm going to arrange everything. I still have a third shelf, and I'm debating whether to put it out front, or keep it in the back. I'm not sure yet if I actually have enough Do-it-Yourself stock to populate three shelves worth, and I could definitely use the shelf in the back. Maybe I'll populate the first two, and then see if I really need the third one up front.
I have another timing dilemma. Princess Auto is having a major sale starting today that I have to take advantage of; They have engine cranes for $100 off, some power-sweepers that I need two of (of for use, and one to re-sell), and an incredible deal on their small engines (half price) that I could resell as well. The problem is, the closest store is in Regina (four hours away) and the Chevy isn't trustworthy yet. If I were to make the trip to Regina I'd want to stop at Rona, Home Depot, and Costco as well, and by the time all this stuff is loaded up I'm not convinced that the F-150 has the power to haul all that weight (curse you, Shaunavon GM!) Maybe it does... Lesssee....
- Crane: 200 pounds
- Shelves: 800 pounds (4)
- Engines: 350 pounds (10)
- Sweepers: 500 pounds? (2)
Ok, that comes out to 1850 pounds. Plus the 3500 pound trailer = 5350 pounds. That's below the truck's threshold, so it should be OK.... Hmmm... Ok, at least that means it's do-able. Now the question is: 1 day trip, or 2 days? One day would be a long hard day; It's at least a four-hour drive, plus shopping time, plus driving back. LONG LONG day.... Two day trip would be easier, but then you have to add in the cost of a motel, and food... :/ Decisions, decisions...
In any case, the weather is going to be craptastik until next week anyway, so I'd have to see if PA is willing to hold the items (I'll pay for them up-front, I just need them to hold them for a few days) until I can get up there.
EDIT: Well, so much for that problem... The engines are already sold out, and the sweepers are gone too. However, the sweepers are an ""active item" so they are ordering more, and I can also get a rain-cheque on the engines. The only thing PA has in stock is the engine-crane, and I'm not driving that far just to get the crane. They'll hold a crane for a week for me, and I think I might be able to get Jack to pick one up for me while he's in Regina next week. If not, I'll have to make other arrangements. Worst case, I just won't get the crane, as I'm sure I can get one a Peavey-Mart for less than it would cost me to drive to Regina. I've got two sweepers and ten engines on the rain-cheque, so we'll see what happens when they finally arrive.
