I haven't ridden since Wednesday, which was my first huntseat lesson in ages and ages: it made me feel dyslexic. I was aboard the lofty Sir Charles and asking for absolutely minimal contact, to the point of attempting to peanut roll. And the speed factor! I was barely ambling, but stepping out all at once and it was just a hellish sort of situation. I think Non-Thoroughbred Pleasure folk are batty.
But after talking with Tracey, who suggest I bring this up with Nancy, I may be showing Lark in Non-Thoroughbred Pleasure for Championship/Res. Championship points and just take Charlie in Sales Classes both days, which technically does us all some good. Plus, I'm also all set up to do Horse Hunter Hack (2' 6") on Saturday and Sunday and then do Modified Hunter (2' - for a giggle, hehe) on Sunday. Mind you, this is class fee hell: $200, to be precise, but I can survive, right? Total showing fees are going to run about $410, subtracting my tall boots. Eep. But I told my mom I would put the money back in the bank and, really, she'll never know how much it was - especially since I've already got $80 of that covered, so she'll think it was really $330. Hah!
I really can't wait for this!
