The Golden compass
I just got back From the movie "The Golden Compass" and as someone who has not read the books I can say the movie was awesome. I loved every minute of it. The eye candy of CG animals was fantastic. The premise of the story, the clockwork machinery of the world. The idea of daemons. Wonderful! I definitely want to see that movie again..and again.
The Polar Bear Lorek is voiced by none other than Ian Mckellan and his rigging and modeling is amazing. After a year of movies that made me smack my lips in distaste this one was a breath of fresh air.
