The last Starfighter
So I come across a story about a group of people at http://www.roguesynapse.com/games/last_starfighter.php
who went through a lot of trouble to faithfully re-create a game from the 80's that did not exist. "Starfighter" was the game that the movie "The last starfighter" was based on.
This game is absolutely amazing. If they could have had this in the arcade's for real I can only imagine how Atari would have raked in the money. Of course much of this is probably beyond what they could have actually done back then.
Check it out. It is a serious blast from the past to play not to mention I just caught the whole Centauri joke in the opening credits of the game. The symbol and the name are a play on the symbol of and name "Atari"
If you have Vista you need to grab d3drm.dll someplace online (easy to find) and put it in the Starfighter root directory.
