But is there any reason to use it over any other IM program?

Can't be sure yet but

MSN likes to reload even when I would rather it not be active. ICQ loads on a boot even though I have told it not too and is slightly buggy (AOL maintains it)

It has a good audio interface I'm reading though I have yet to test that.

I've used Skype now and then and it works great on all counts... I'd use Trillian, anyway.
