I've never really done something like this before, but it seemed appropriate.

I am fasting today. Every hour, I will stop and say a prayer for Terri.

I am doing this for three reasons-

1.Every time I feel hungry, I will be, for obvious reasons, reminded of the woman I'm praying for.
2.Fasting, throughout the Bible, is a sign of grief. I am grieved, also for obvious reasons.
3. Fasting is a sign of placing one's physical body under the authority of the spiritual. This is something I've never been very good at, and it seemed a good way to begin rebuilding the character that was mentioned a few posts ago.

You are welcome to join me, and to invite your friends to do so as well.

Or, you are welcome to leave a comment disagreeing with my plan of action. I only ask that you leave your reasons, I am curious to see what others think about this.
