Descent to Reality......
literally, as I am currently in this resort 1,150m above sea level 1 hour from Chiangmai. Its been wet wet wet as it is the rainy season till end October, but K and I have been taking it easy, enjoying the nice view of the hills surrounding us, getting Thai traditional massages, and hanging out on the patio of the villa reading with a small stream rushing nearby. Nice cool-ish temperatures (22C) at night here with a light wind, so we dispensed with the air conditioning and used the rather powerful ceiling fan. Its all very peaceful here, with soft jazz playing in the public areas, and jazz CDs in the room. Last night, we had a symphony of bullfrogs going full force along with cicadas, and with the rushing stream, it can be quite noisy - nature can be LOUD!!

We fly back to big bad Bangkok this evening - dinner at Enoteca Italiana with N and C, work colleagues now turned good friends. Perhaps a spot of live jazz at the Living Room at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit later? Possibilities....
