Solo Nationals - Coming Soon

I'm nervous.

I'll be heading up to Topeka, Kansas soon for the 2008 SCCA Solo National Championship. I'll be running in CSPL, which is the "Ladies" version of the class for my car (my car is "street prepared" and is in the "C" level of street prepared). There are 7 entries in the class. Exactly: go to have fun!

It seems like (from reading your posts) there aren't many NBs in competition. Why is that? Or am I daft on this?

There aren't as many as NAs. They used to be the top car (in a specific spec) for C Stock, but aren't any more. They're not allowed in STS2 (with the first gen Miatas). I'm not sure why they're not found in CSP much. Perhaps it's because the level of modification lends itself to a less expensive starting car. Maybe it's because the first generations are lighter. I dunno.

SM2 definitely sees far more NAs than NBs or NCs. It's an expensive class, and starting with the cheaper platform helps.

I'd be in SM2 if I still ran ever. Turbo, LSD, brakes, suspension, wheels, tires, clutch, flywheel. All modded.

My buddy and I were going to try to get up there and shoot but I've just got too much going on here in Wichita that weekend. :-/
