Hallo all!
Last post of 2008 right here, yah. Should I be excited for 2009? ...I don't know. At one point, does it matter? I mean, just because it's a new year doesn't mean that others change (although some try), so is there any reason to expect differently from this last year?
Bah, melodramatics. And I don't even have anything to drink. Age limit and all, yus?
First off (to get it done and over with): ZEE MANDATORY 2008 MEME
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
…went to college
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I tend not to make resolutions…I know that I’ll never keep them.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Unless you count animals, unfortunately no
4. Did anyone close to you die?
My step-grandmother, but we weren’t too close, to be honest
5. What countries did you visit?

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Graduating, heading off to college…*cough* nothing too major, y’know… =D
9. What was your biggest failure?
Going crazycakes and switching my damn major before I really got started. Now I’m lost in college with no career goal. GREAT.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really. I’m a pretty healthy beast. ;)
11. What was the best thing you bought?
BEST? Hard to say, but most expensive = $600+ in books for next semester. Blech.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
No one notable. I think everyone close to me behaved themselves.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and/or depressed?
A few people that I know that need to be smacked, but I’m not into naming names.
14. Where did most of your money go?
College. Gas. :P
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Prom, graduation, college.

Friends Forever by Vitamin C (duh, I graduated. My school = cheeseballs)
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Sadder
b) thinner or fatter? …Same-ish, but I’d say fatter
c) richer or poorer? Slightly (VERY SLIGHTLY) richer, but only because I found a steady job
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Flirt. ;) Meet people. WRITE. *guiltily looks at unfinished fic tables*
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinate, burn myself
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Chillin’ with the family, woo
21. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Not really. I mean, yes, I've had my share of crushes, but love? Hell no.

The presidential election
36. Who did you miss?
Friends back home and the comfort of rounding a corner and knowing who you’ve just run into.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
Any of my roommates, my coworkers. They’re all interesting in their own ways so I can’t pick one.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
I’ve made mistakes, but who says I’ve learned anything from them?
39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
If its love then set it free/Its 'gonna be what its 'gonna be- "Mouth Full of Bones" by NPSH
All right, so now that that's done, I feel that once more I have to publicly concede that British TV is way better than American. Take Doctor Who, for instance. Do we have anything that can compare? I THINK NOT. But the real purpose of this ramble: I've finally discovered Robin Hood. As in the new one. And GUHFLAILWOO! I think I'm in love. But do we get this in America? I THINK NOT, so I'm forced to hunt down eppy's on YouTube, which really isn't going so hot. So you Brits, feel free to gloat as I sit here, frustrated and wondering how many more House reruns I can watch before I apply to med school. =D
So if anyone knows a good site to download...*SUBTLE HINTS*
I leave for college on Sunday again and dude, I'm not looking forward to it. Not only is there more snow and is colder, I'm taking more credits and harder classes this semester. Good bye circadian rhythm! Good bye normal bedtime! To school once more I go! *dramatic bow* Blargh. Oh, and I have to go find myself a major this semster, too. NO PRESSURE OR ANYTHING, KTHNX.
I've apparently developed a recent addiction to ABBA (or Mamma Mia, depending on how you look at it), and can now sing far too many of their songs by memory. Which is not a good thing in all honesty, but at least I have something to do when I'm by myself, haha. Not that anyone needed to know that...
I'm ordering my new glasses on Friday! Which, yes, is a good thing, seeing as how I haven't gotten new glasses since...maybe sophomore year of high school, so it's been quite awhile. But I'm having a CRISIS. Do I get funky/smart black plastic frames or should I just go with classic wire frames?
All right. Random update is random. And wrapping up. :) So everyone have an awesome 2009 and I'll see you all later!!
HAPPY 2009!!
