Puppy!!!!!!!!
I'm about 99% certain I am going to be getting this puppy.
He is a 4 month old Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix, named Elton (though I'm going to change his name). Last tuesday Laura and I went to the Humane Society to look at the dogs (found a couple online we liked, for both them and me). I orginally liked Elton's brother John better and so I applied for him. But while we were at the shelter there was another family looking at the puppies too. It ended up that they took John. The lady at the shelter called and left me a message on friday that the other people took John, but to let her know if I was interested in Elton. Laura knows this lady really well, so it was very easy for me to get approved to adopt a dog. I called the lady back on friday and left her a message that I will take Elton and to call me back. I called again on saturday and left a message with a person and they said the lady would call me back on sunday. She didn't. So I left another message this morning. So since she offered me Elton, I am almost positive I am getting him, though she hasn't confirmed it yet. Visiting hours are tomorrow from 5-7pm, so I will most likely get him tomorrow night! I'm excited!!!!
So then comes the name, I want to change it and this weekend (while I was in Iowa) we came up with some names. Let me know if you do/don't like a name and if you have any other suggestions!
Ransom (because of all of our ransom notes to each other while at school last year)
Roady (for Texas Roadhouse where we ate many times while attending Kirkwood)Moo (just because)Swisher (for obvious reasons!)
and Jess wants "Earl" but I say no!
Any other suggestions?
