There was supposed to be a clinician lady at a local stable (which he often goes to), which Scott was going to bring one of their horses Ben (TB) to and have one of his students ride. But we have Strangles here, so he couldn't trailer Ben there, so the lady came here. We went to the other stable in the morning to watch the other rides, then she came here.
Scott had me ride Red in the clinic too (and he paid for it, $60). She liked Red, we worked some on her leg yields to the right, which she always brings her head up and tilts her head, also worked on canter departs and keeping her on the bit in them, and going forward. Also worked a lot of the sitting trot (ugh). But she was very helpful and I enjoyed it.
Then last night we went down to LaCrosse for the car races. Yes, I actually went to a racetrack for car races! It was interesting, they had several short track races, then some bigger track races and some longer races. Then at the end of the night they had "The Trailer Race of Destruction". Basically they had whatever car/truck you wanted, with a trailer with something on it (boat, lawnmower, couch, portapotty, etc.), or pulling a camper, or there was a truck pulling a camper and a boat, then just went around the short track and crashed into each other. Laura said "you never knew you were going to go to so many redneck things while you were staying here did you?" because last weekend we went to a Demolition Derby.
Then today we went down to Boscobel (little over 2 hours away) and picked up some lumber Scott needs for a job and then had lunch at Laura's mom's and husband's house.
So basically I didn't have to work at all this weekend (except for about 1 hour in the AM and bringing horses in)! Then I have half day off tomorrow and full day on tuesday, which I don't know what I'm going to do.
