Quick update:
1) I work at the vet clinic tuesdays, thursdays, and alternating friday/saturdays. Seen some exciting stuff lately. Emergency tail amputation on a rowdy labrador boarding with us. lots of blood.. and anal glands! 2 abortion/spays, I got to play with kitten fetuses. Pug with bladder stones pissing blood. Dr. Rainey getting bitten by a dog and having Dr. Kittrel stitch up his hand LMAO. KITTENS!!!! Lots up for adoption. Kendra's rehab baby squirrel scurrying under my scrub top as i squirmed and almost pissed myself from laughing so hard.
2) I got an internship at the Palm Beach Zoo and am working up there on Sundays, mondays, and wednesdays. It's a LOT of physically taxing work, but So so so worth it. I get to play with parrots, birds of prey, ducks, a sloth, a kinkajou, alligators, a porcupine, 2 New Guinea singing dogs, a dingo, a binturong, and servals! Yes I commute. It takes 1 hour to get there in the morning, and on monday and wednesdays coming home takes 2 hours. go south florida rush hour traffic.
3) I am super busy and spend about 98% of my time working with animals!! Yay for vet/exotic animal experience! i get one full day off per week.
