In response to Mandie's comment on my last entry, update on my health:

I have been thinking about what the hell is ACTUALLY medically wrong for a few years! It got really bad for about a year straight and I decided to see a doctor about it, so I visited the clinic here on campus, this is my journey so far with it:
I can't remember what I say to everyone and what is new information so bear with me if you knew some of this stuff =( I know this is a reply to you (and it's TMI) but it's also good for journal documenting purposes.
I was checked for .. what's the word ... things on your butt. I can't remember. Either way, I didn't have that. I am constipated like 1000% of the time so that doctor put me on Miralax every single day (which is great, honestly - I'm on month three with that stuff and I won't stop taking it, I was a little scared at first because I have family members that abuse laxatives so I felt some strangeness about the whole thing but it's good for me)
HEMORRHOIDS! LMAO THATS THE WORD
Also did some blood work, TWICE I was checked for gluten allergy and my thyroid is a little slow - which brings me to the next thing, they put me on heartburn medicine and referred me to a butt doctor (uh, gastroenterologist)
This whole time I'm trying to eat for it (FODMAP diet, gluten free for three days HAHAAA NO THANKS TOO TOUGH, then started eliminating EVERYTHING and putting things back in....)
The first heartburn medicine didn't work so they put me on the long-term one instead of the fast-acting-esque kind of guys that Zantac are.
At this point I am aware that a few things trigger it:
1. not enough sleep
2. too much stress
3. not enough exercise
4. very, very fatty foods and large meals....
So, to my educated mind, this sounds like some kind of low-grade chronic inflammation that is not going to be a blip on some scan or in some bloodwork  (CRP levels were good too) or it's just not BAD ENOUGH YET to deem treating by pros ...
SO the GI doctor tells me keep taking the heartburn medicine, take up to double of the miralax if it starts not working as well, etc. ok, that guy was kind of a dick and he ordered a redux of bloodwork I had already had done because he "couldn't find it" on my computer, aka didn't want to spend three more minutes looking at it. Gives me basically no other help so I prodded, I asked if there was anything else I could do... I paused and said I know i'm overweight. He said yes (because this is medical fact, even if docs are discouraged from mentioning it unless in specific circumstances...) and I asked how much weight he thought, in his professional opinion, would help to lose.
He said about 15 pounds (at 165 that would put me at *almost not* clinically overweight)
He said 20 mins of cardio where I'm sweating every day NOT including weight lifting.
I have been going to the gym 3x a week or more for 1 and 1/2 months, I have lost around 4-8lbs. I have not been getting that much cardio but I've been lifting and walking 10-15k steps 5-6 days a week and running about 5-9 miles a week as well. My energy level has gone through the roof but I am very, very very warm ALL the time so I don't know how I feel about that.

I had another appointment for next week but I moved it to July.
