Information Post:: FAQ - The Revelation
Alright, I’ve watched the vids, read the snippets. What exactly is this?
It’s a fanfiction! No, it’s a roleplay! Actually, Equilibrium is both. We started this out about six months ago as a personal roleplay. It was never meant to be shown to anybody else but we ended up enjoying the story so much we wanted to share it with others, so we edited it, translated it, and generally chopped it around, and ended up with this.
So it is a fic?
Basically. It reads like a fic, although it's very action and dialogue orientated.
Oh really, so what are the ships?
We aren’t about to give it away. If you want to know you’ll have to read. ;) There will be many ships though, both heterosexual and homosexual. Ships will feature a wide variety of characters, some appearing more than once.
Well, what about my favorite ship? Will it be in it?
Still not telling, sorry! We don’t believe in giving spoilers, even to those who ask for them. We want people to give the story a chance without the confinements of the ships that are in it. Heck, when we were creating the story even we found a new ship we love! In the story there are plenty of ships to watch though, about 10 or more! We just hope you’ll find something to enjoy, especially as it’s not all about sex, or that type of relationship. There is a fair amount of other relationships too, like strong friendships and familial bonds. We enjoy romance as much as the next person, but we like plot too, and that is what drives this.
Why the NC-17 rating?
The material included can be quite graphic at times, so it was truly the only proper rating. Take this as your warning! If you don’t want to read explicit sex (het or homosexual), violence, and/or death but would like to follow the story, we suggest you head on over to the PG-13 journal which can be found here.
But is this one of those wips that you will give up on after a while?
Nope. Like I already mentioned, we have been going for over six months and have collected a lot of content. We absolutely can guarantee that we have an ending.
Great! When will it be posted?
Well, we are going to attempt to have a new chapter out for you every Saturday night! If this changes at any point we will announce it on the journal, but unless that happens, keep expecting it weekly. We're still in the process of translating the rp to fic format, and that takes some work.
Why are you f-locking?
As this is a NC-17 fiction we feel that f-locking the posts is necessary so that we know who is reading along with the story and so that nobody who is underage can just stumble upon it. That being said, we aren’t about to police who has decided to read along with this version of the story. If you have us friended we will friend you back because we believe everyone can make their own decisions; you are responsible for your own actions.
What if I want to go back and re-read a chapter? How do I find it?
As we post each individual post we will immediately place them into the memories so that they will be available for you all to find there should you wish to find a chapter. When it comes to the tags each chapter will not be tagged when first posted. A week after the chapter has been posted we will go back and edit it to include chapter specific tags. This is to give everyone a chance to read the chapter without seeing tags that may give certain things away. And yes, this does mean they will be tagged with ships the week after they are released.
Are there any rules to commenting?
We are very open about commenting. If you feel like leaving a response to the chapter we encourage you to do so. Also, if anyone would like to discuss the chapter with other readers they are welcome to reply to other comments within the thread - we welcome discussion! All we ask is that you be respectful of each other’s opinions. We will reply when we are able - please don't take it to heart if we don't answer your comment. We do appreciate each one.
