Memorials
I lost my filly last month to heart failure. The short version is we think she had a virus some months past that got into her heart and damaged it. There was too much damage for it to have occurred during the two weeks she was obviously unwell.
The grieving process is moving forward, but one of the things I want to do is have a necklace or something made from her hair. I do have one on order that is a ceramic pendant with her hair in the clay, but it only required 20" of hair (which was a little more than one strand of hair because Zetahra was blessed with a ridiculously abundant mane) and I still have a lot of hair that I would like to do something with other than sit in a cubboard.
Do any of you have some recommendations for this type of thing? What have you done to remember your horses who have passed on?
