Hi guys! My trainer teaches combined driving and dressage, and he's been doing this series of biweekly online classes. Since his next class is relevant to folks in all disciplines, I figured I would pass along the info here in case anyone was interested in the class. The classes are affordable, scheduled at two days/times, and you get a recording afterwards which is pretty cool. Here's the info:
Does your horse stand patiently while you tack up, hitch, mount, have a conversation with a friend, or watch someone else ride? No matter what your choice of activities with your horse is, standing is probably the most universally important skills a horse can be taught. Yet many people suffer from the idea that their horse isn't patient enough or is too high strung to stand. The fact of the matter is, any horse can be taught to stand. The key is a well thought out, methodical approach to teaching your horse this important skill. On February 26th & 27th Andy Marcoux will be teaching a 90 minute, live, interactive online class about how to get your horse to stand stock-still without being held in any way.
